Let me tell you a story. . .

Stories are impressions of humanity preserved in lines of text, whether they appear in print publications or on digital platforms. Every publication, podcast, social post, and event has a story that goes far beyond the final full stop, and I aspire to be a part of the stories in their creation. As communications continue to be increasingly innovative, I write to explore, read to enlighten, and edit to amplify diverse voices. Happy reading!

In 2023, I joined the team that creates content for Developments Magazine, which features MSU stories of generosity. In this role, I contributed to editing and proofreading, ad development, photography management, multiple features, and the development of the Fall 2024 cover story.
As the communications manager assigned to the MSU Women & Philanthropy communication projects, I developed content for the 2023 and 2024 symposium events and wrote copy for the new program website at women.givingto.msu.edu.
The Wharton Series 2023 event took place at The Lincoln Center in NYC in 2023. This event required me to develop program content, identify and prep speakers, create photography and A/V guides, and manage onsite program direction.
I managed the production of an impact video featuring a faculty member from the MSU College of Engineering. The video, Breaking Barriers, was created in collaboration with Easy Peasy Production Services and was featured at the MSU Women & Philanthropy Symposium in April 2023.
In 2020 I developed a DEI reference document to help the University Advancement team coordinate diversity fundraising efforts for MSU.

In 2013, I participated as a fellow editor of Views of Michigan, a regional photography book.

I served as a writer and editor of Ing Magazine, a magazine published for young adults in the Greater Lansing area.

This genre fiction infographic is a result of my research into the style varieties of each genre and their associated subgenres.

I selected A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurโ€™s Court by Mark Twain to read, edit, and redesign for a 21st century audience.

Cover copy and marketing documents were one of my regular tasks as an intern at Thunder Bay Press, a publisher of Michigan & Great Lakes regional titles.
In 2018, I created a compilation of my most recent research and editing projects. It shows my abilities with proofreader’s marks, track changes in Word, and memos.
